What ATP Measures
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is the energy molecule present in all living and recently dead cells — bacteria, viruses, food residue, body fluids. Higher RLU = more contamination. Below 10 RLU is the accepted clean threshold for healthcare environments.
Luminometer Technology
A sterile swab collects a surface sample; the luminometer reacts it with a bioluminescent reagent and reads the emitted light in milliseconds. Results are objective, calibrated, and not affected by surface color, fragrance, or cleaning product residue.
